What we installed
We replaced the broken handle with a commercial-grade knob set rated for high-traffic use, matched to the existing door preparation so the door didn't need modification.
The lock function was checked against how the business actually uses the door — locked after hours, free passage during the day — and keyed to suit their existing keys where possible.
The lesson
