What counts as an emergency callout

Anything that leaves a person, a vehicle or a building unsecured. The most common calls we take across Auckland are house lockouts after a door slams in the wind, snapped keys in a worn Lockwood cylinder, jammed sliders on older aluminium joinery, and burglary damage that has to be made secure before anyone can sleep.

How fast we actually get there

We will not promise a nationwide '15 minutes' figure that no Auckland locksmith can honour. Realistically, central, North Shore and South Auckland calls are usually looked at inside 30 to 60 minutes, and the outer coast can run longer at peak traffic. When you ring, we tell you the honest ETA of the nearest van and text you when the technician is moving.

Non-destructive entry first, always

A locksmith who reaches for a drill first is charging you for a new lock you did not need. Our technicians pick, bypass, decode and use letterbox and under-door tools before considering destructive entry. Where a lock genuinely has to be defeated — a high-security restricted cylinder, or a lock already wrecked by an attempted break-in — we tell you before we start and quote the replacement up front.

After a break-in

We handle the security side of a burglary from one visit: make-safe boarding, replacing damaged locks and strike plates, reinforcing the jamb, and rekeying everything else so any stolen keys are dead. We provide an itemised invoice worded for insurance claims with AA, State, Tower or your broker.
