The call
A driver left the Ranger idling while loading shopping at Botany Town Centre. The proximity fob was on the passenger seat, the doors auto-locked, and the ute sat there running.
What we did
Air wedge into the top corner of the door frame, protective shim to spread the load, then a long-reach tool to lift the interior lock button. Under ten minutes, no marks on the paint or weather seal, and no interference with the vehicle's electronics.
The lesson
Keyless vehicles lock themselves in ways old cars never did. If your fob has a hidden mechanical key inside it, learn where the concealed keyhole is on your door — for a lot of drivers that alone turns a callout into a thirty-second fix.
